Cookie policy
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. This page explains the ones this site uses and how to change your mind at any time.
Your choice
You decide, and you can change it
When you first visit, we ask whether you're happy for us to use analytics cookies. None are set until you say yes, and saying no doesn't change how the site works. You can change your choice whenever you like.
The detail
The cookies we use
| Type | Set by | Names | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Guild Floors | gf_consent (stored in your browser) | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask on every page. | 6 months |
| Analytics | Google Analytics | _ga, _ga_* | Counts visits and shows which pages people read and how they found us, so we can improve the site. We don't use it to identify you. | Up to 2 years |
Swipe the table to see every column.
Nothing else. We don't set any other cookies of our own. There are no advertising or social media tracking pixels on this site.
Without cookies
What happens if you say no
Google gets the basics only. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google receives only basic, cookie-free signals, for example that a page was viewed. Nothing is saved in your browser.
Ahrefs Web Analytics. We also use Ahrefs to count visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.
Where you came from. When you arrive we note which website sent you, in your browser's own session memory rather than a cookie. If you then send us an enquiry, it goes with it, so we know which of the things we do brings people in. It holds no name and nothing about you, and it's wiped when you close the tab.
Other services
Other companies we use
Stripe. If you join Guild Care, you pay on Stripe's own secure checkout page, not on this site. Stripe sets the cookies it needs to take the payment safely and to stop fraud. Its own cookie policy covers those.
Our enquiry forms. The forms on this site are handled by Netlify, which hosts the site. Sending a form doesn't set a cookie.
WhatsApp. The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp itself. Nothing from WhatsApp loads on this site until you tap it.

Blocking cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them won't stop you using this site, but if you clear your browser's storage we'll ask for your cookie choice again.
For more on how we use your information, see our privacy policy. Questions? Email info@guildfloors.co.uk or ring 01279 942302.
